Bay area guitarist favoring soul/funk settings and a "nighttime jazz" sheen. Mainstream stuff heavy in organ and vibes, with a mellow feel but tempos fast enough to deliver some nicely involved solos. Horns appear only here and there but add a nice change of pace. Dangerously verges on smooth jazz here and there, but Keys turns in some nice work overall.|
- Latin, kind of, with percussion and mid/fast horns
- Thumpy drums and mysterious air, fairly fast
- Fast minor-key jam. Pleasant jazz chorus.
- Adventurous. Fast floaty playing and a complex jazz middle
- After-hours stuff, funky mellow, mid/fast. Ick.
- Mildly spacey start; digs in for a nicely aggressive jam
- Echoey 7/4 time, a friendly warm soul/jazz bit.
- Cool vibes feel. Picks up after a slowish intro, into a nicely rolling pace.
- Mellow and flowing
- Softly jazzy, with a fairly fast pace.
- Slowly funky '70s horn line, a crisp snappy midtempo piece
