Creatively spiced straight jazz from bassist Moffett, son of Ornette Coleman drummer Charles. He takes plenty of solos on both acoustic and electric, usually accompanied by piano and drums for a straight club-jazz feel.

Some great moments -- 13 is a good, fast bass solo and 11 is full of adventurous scribbles. But most of the CD is overly happy, life-affirming stuff -- which is nice in philosophy but comes makes for rather edgeless music. Synth outpourings on tracks like 3 and 15 don't help.

2- Funky, inside-out take on Miles Davis' classic "So What." Mid/fast, w/organ
3- Faux-reggae, too pretty for its own good
10- Floaty, pretty. Bass monologue w/piano.
11- Adventurous scribbles, nice mid/fast club-jazz feel
13- Bass solo, cool and fast
17- Fast dancing funk, w/quasi-spoken lyrics
