Monoloc: First Drifter Label: CLR
Monoloc's "First Drifter" EP is a solid two-track release that is not fast, under 120 bpm. What it lacks in speed it makes up for in edge. #2 "HH" features a hard solid techno-style kick & drones while #1 "Shame" has some moody vocals. They're both cool - not happy upbeat house - yet they set the mood if you choose to go harder with your set.
1. 6:32 "Shame" - A slowed-down moody-disco track featuring a warbled vocal sample and a droning synth.
2. 6:06 "HH" - Thumping. Stripped-down beats with a consistent drone. Flittering effects come in halfway and it's now a full-on house banger.
