Loud garage punk three-piece, out of Detroit, singing about Detroit with some arty post-punk influences. Vocals are sung-spoke or shouted, sounds like their guitar strings should be constantly breaking, and the lyrics are mostly angry. Some track lengths are longer than you might expect from the genre, but completely deservedly so. A late but easy addition to 2012’s top 10, all tracks worthy of play. RIYL: The Gories, King Kahn, The Intelligence, Jay Reatard, Wire
*1 (4:41) Shrieking guitars, catchy chorus, driving beat, some quiet vocal parts, some very loud
2 (1:58) Noisy guitars, sparse drum, intelligible vox except for rhymes
3 (2:10) Super catchy, angry, intensity builds without volume change
*4 (2:14) Blistering, groovy bass, sarcastic chorus
5 FCC FUCK (3:45) Jarring stop and start guitar part, vocals fully spoken/screamed
6 (1:22) Noisy chopped up intro, more upbeat garage rock music, dead end shit job shit town lyrics
*7 FCC SHITTY (4:16) Pounding, grooving anthem, ~5 people shout the title over and over; last 5 or so seconds is studio snippet
8 (3:27) Subdued first half, straightforward garage punk about midwest basements from there
*9 (5:57) Noisy fucking slurry of guitar + sax over midtempo beat; bored, snotty, mechanical, repetitive in the best ways possible
10 FCC FUCK (2:28) Heavily effected for max loudness, tons of feedback
