Tight, sister-like harmonies, soulful vocals and stripped-down fiddle
and guitar duo arrangements. Simply fantastic.
– (3:21) Long Time Gone* Lovely mid-tempo rendition of the Tex Ritter song.
– (3:17) A Distant Land To Roam* Soaring vocals & harmonies, terrific.
– (1:53) Train On The Island Up-tempo & old-timey stomp.
– (3:10) Sittin’ Alone In The Moonlight* Spare & deliberate take on Bill Monroe song.
– (2:16) Red Rocking Chair* Moody & modal, haunting.
– (2:31) I Ain’t Gonna Work Tomorrow* Upbeat version of A.P. Carter song, nice.
– (3:37) Your Lone Journey Doc & Rosa Lee Watson song, decent.
– (1:42) Cheyenne* Very good duo treatment of Monroe fiddle tune.
– (3:17) Cold Rain And Snow* Swinging & up-tempo take on traditional classic.
– (2:09) Blues In My Mind* Sweet harmonies & playing, terrific track.
– (2:38) Dark As The Night, Blue As The Day* Another standout track, mournful.
– (2:02) Bonaparte’s Retreat* Lovely instrumental, tempo picks up.
– (3:31) Beautiful Hills of Galilee A capella vocal duo, decent.
