Heavy as heaven rock that sounds like its from Chicago ca. 1988 but instead is brand new from Switzerland. Scratch Acid/Jesus Lizard, Big Black taken to the next level. HUGE guitars, HUGE bass, HUGE drums and big desperate screamed vocals. Great use of dissonance, off timings, abstract noise approach to the heavy. Not for the weak of heart. 30 years ago this would be flagship Touch and Go Records material.
1)* (3:48) pounding intense heavy rock, more Jesus Lizard/Scratch Acid than Sepultura 2) (4:10) slightly mathy in the dissonant pounding rock, midway shifts to an almost catchy beat 3)* (4:09) up tempo seriously driving rocking touches on 2/4 rockin in places but mostly just heavy bordering on galloping, in end shifts to abstract dissonance and beats, feedback leads into next 4)* (6:25) big feedback sustain drone to start, 2 minutes in a cool tom tom tribal beat with sparse dissonant chords appears 5) (1:17) brief, blasting with spoken found sound words 6)* (4:58) full on balls out insane rocking, jesus, whew 7) (1:01) brief blast, almost like a sample of what this band is about 8) (3:41) a pensive rocker 9)* (3:37) strange studio guttural sounds at first, then a halting crazed rocker 10)* (5:49) cool noise for first minute or so, then a strange tom tom beat, noise vocs and sparse guitars enter slowly, dissonant for sure
