Steve Hise. Pure sample collage from a local guy. Lots of various sources, most of it sounds like “art” (indeed a lot of it was recorded live at Cal Arts performances). Lots of liner notes if you’re interested about the details. Nothing very harsh, but still very noisy in places. Mostly sparse and ambient or confusing and silly. Good stuff. Viva experimental noise!

1) exotica samples w/classic rock, gets spacey and drony
2) radio tuner, locked end groove, CD player skips, gets mellow and drony
3) loungy w/voices
4) drony and reverby, builds, elvis ref
5) old movie soundtrack singing, droning
6) heavy collage, TV, etc., live recording
7) more collage, exotica, James Brown screams, digital noise
8) low ambient droning, gives way to noisy samples and loops
9) dance lesson dialog, swing music
10) noisy loops, Hendrix samples, other, nice wet sound appears after ~4min, gets heavy
11) Nirvana, Hendrix, lots of other music samples
12) fucked up rendition of the Natl Anthem
