Dark indie meanderings, in places theres an acoustic layered vocal feel a la Sebedoh or Eric’s Trip, in others theres dark dissonant heavy electrified material, bordering on Shellac emo. Not overtly post rock despite the Chicago/Quarterstick connection, but I could see them on a bill with Tortoise, Crime in Choir. Understated layered male vocal production. Guit/bass/drums. Simple song structures are mostly dark and minor and introspective. Overall trippy dissonant sparse yet heavy, intelligent and psyche. Nice. Hang yourself today, avoid the rush.
1) ¾ mellow acoustic with voc layers and sounds a la sebedoh, eric’s trip
2) heavy snare beat, dark minor guit tone
3) heavy beat, overdriven, understated vocs, dark and spooky, cool organ
4) emo urgency, start stop, instrumental
5) mellow with dissonant clean guits, backwards guit leads
6) cool dark synth, beat, repetitious, hypnotic, long with trippy synth outro that could be faded or used as soundbed easily
7) acoustic, dissonant desperate, noise ridden
8) upbeat fast driving pace, dissonant guits
9) heavy beat, cool theme that is explored minimally a bit, gets post rockish on us
10) 6/4 timed heavy beat, vocs, nice treatments, cool strings
11) no drums, strumming ¾ dark folk feel
12) instrumental guit rock jam, post punk somehow
13) upbeat near pop rock 80’s feel, true indie rock
14) epic instrumental feel, nice guits and med-slow pace, mindfull
