Album Review
The Bawd Of Euphony

The 7th Animal Collective record is everything you would hope from the torchbearers of the “New Weird”. Freaky multilayered guitars and electronics, heavy percussive goodness, and pop vocal beauty. “Feels” is more upbeat and glorious sounding than the other AC records. Pop vocal chanting recalling Beach Boy “Pet Sounds” brilliance. Great changes and shifts with lots of melodic hooks and beats that make you wanna shake your freak thang. These guys never disappoint and Feels is just an absolutely brilliant piece of music. You WILL PLAY THIS, you MUST PLAY THIS - tHE bAWD oF euphony
1**(5:14) Slow drone intro, pulse begins and bursts into a full-on joyous bonanza. Awesome!
2**(3:00) Wet swirlies, tribal pounding. Great vocals, catchy hook of a chorus. Love it!
3 (3:44) Slower and more free feeling. Cascading piano and guitar. (Great title, he he)
4**(3:38) Great upbeat percussion, looped guitar, great vocals. Ending is phenomenal! A fav
5**(5:38) Autoharp, simple and atmospheric. Slow vocals swell. Beautiful and mystical!
6**(8:20) Mellow intro, buzzing with hushed vox. Great beat enters and carries you through. Great singing and build. Standout track!
7**(7:34) Ultra mystical mellow song. An AC trademark fluttery guitar and tweekyness. Beautiful and moving. (I recommend playing through to the next track as well)
8**(4:56) repeating electronics and keys with building drum beat. Very shimmery!
9**(6:29) Wet guitar line intro. Awesome Dancehall esque groove rocks out. Boogie boogie
