Layered, migratory percussion music from the drummer for Wilco. Mostly solo percussion emphasizing tonal elements. Check out the wholly informative liner notes as well.

FCC Clean (All Instrumental)
Picks: 1,5,6 (2-3 continuous)
*1. 4:45 - Mid energy. Shimmering intro into vibraphone (+other tonal perc.) piece inspired by Reich's "Clapping Music".
2. 5:41 - Low energy. Synthetic sounds in slow melodic vamp. Becomes more dissonant and layered as it progresses.
3. 2:38 - Higher energy, featuring a heavy cymbal/snare rhythm and slow-moving keys and synths. Cold start (straight from #2), 24-sec synth fade out.
4. 4:57 - Midtempo. Quirky mechanical groove. Interesting liner notes.
* 5. 11:32 - All-percussion interpretation of the ever-popular Monkey Chant (Tekkatatekkatatekkatatatekka...) Mostly kit solo, with some mbira, tam-tams, and extended string-rubbing sections.
*6. 3:21 - Low energy. Piano and beautiful sizzling undertones. Rock groove enters at around 2:30.
7. 3:59 - Very low energy. Whirring, rumbling, and clinking soundscape over sustained marimba.
8: 4:06 - Low energy. Happy and ambiguous vibraphone piece. 17-sec. fade out.
