Modern yet also retro electro-disco sounds from Portland. Sounds like a mix of, Tom Tom Club, Kraftwerk, various “Italo-disco bands” and Blondie’s more “ciub friendly moments". Nothing too extravagant but certainly fun and catchy as hell.
((1)) Corny but semi-amusing intro about aerobics.
(((2))) Sultry vocals with very repetitive fat synth sound and a mechanical cymbal sound.
((((3)))) Cascading synths, cycling around your ears and some almost Siouxsie-like vocals. Interesting.
(((4))) Looped horn lines (that sound sort like the “Rocky” theme) mixed with a semi-funky gloss. Pretty good.
(((5))) Total 70’s disco funk worship right down to the horn sample, loose guitar strums and swirls of spacey synths. Angel Flight pants not included.
((((6)))) Throbbing synth, dancey beats with & very 70’s Euro-futurism. Siouxsie meets Kraftwerk in Giorgio Mordorer’s kitchen?
(((((7))))) Really nice take on the Kraftwerk classic. Should’ve been in a late night Showtime movie about computer dating.
(((((8))))) Spacey, airy instrumental ‘ala Tangerine Dream (!) or Heldon. Wow!
(((((9))))) Cyclical synth throb with a “digital clap/sneeze” beat, very breathy vocals. Conjures up images of vector-era video games (Tempest, Starcastle, anyone?).
