the star of Ethiopiques #14, 70 year old Ethiopian sax jams with the Dutch avant-garde/punk band The Ex in Europe, great songs with Ethio riffs & free improvising. WOW! FCC 2X on #1 (very hard to hear it)
FCC****1: 6:31 fast wall of sound, pounding beat, wailing brass, shouting male vocal FCC "fucked" 3:18 and 4:56 very hard to hear it but it is there, twice. cool lyrics "do we shop till we drop, do we buy till we die".
**2: 4:31 slow ethio/North African sax sound and male spoken word/poetry in English/
****3: 5:05 slow to mid, cool sax/very cool percussion/guitar, some squawking sax cool sound/
***4: 4:50 fast more of a rock beat wall of sound, ethio jazz sax, very cool.
****5: 5:55 mid to fast GREAT trance fusion jam, cool backup with GREAT mellow ethio sax wailing
****6: 8:15 mellow dreamy sax noodling with driving e guitar, male spoken word poetry then harder driving wailing sax.
