BILAL -- "AIRTIGHT'S REVENGE" -- I Love It!. Funky with cool vocals too. Wonderful keyz, guitars, bass, drums . . . Everything! Definitely a Sunshine CD. I will play this one.
Best Tracks: 7, 2, 1, 3, 9, 6, 11. FCC: 4 -- Sunshine January 2011
***** 1) Cake & Eat It Too -- Funky and excellent! 3:59
*****+ 2) Restart -- Wonderful Drums! Funky. Thoughtful lyrics. I Truly Dig This One! 4:58
***** 3) All Matter -- Oh Yeah! The funky beat grabs me right away. Slower than first two tracks, but soulful. Super lyrics about unity. "Love"ly harmonies. 5:21
*** 4) Flying -- FCC: "Can't say no Shit she hasn't heard before" -- Dischordant start . . . talks about girl's dope dealer father. 4:22
*** 5) Levels -- Compressed Drums open song. . . . Then piano joins in. Combine for a galloping sound. Haunting vocals after awhile. 5:29
**** 6) Little One -- Slower tempo. Piano and drums. Then beautiful guitar. Thoughtful vocals from a parent. Rather somber but loving. Reminiscent of Earth, Wind & Fire. 3:58
*****+ 7) Move On -- Funky beats start it. Yes. This one moves and grooves me!!! 3:27
*** 8) Robots -- Rockish electric start, then gets hip-hoppish. Somewhat distroted. 4:04
**** 9) The Dollar -- Political commentary about economy, society. Wah wah guitar. 3:28
*** 10) Who Are You -- More Earth, Wind & Fire feel. Slow, mellow, sad. It's a story. 6:05
**** 11) Think It Over -- Folksy bluegrass strings! Reflective lyrics. Nice rhythm. 4:04
