beautiful ambient/prog indie/instrumental/noise
this is absolute beaut.
mostly instrumental, occasional vox.
elements of prog, krautrock, spacerock, psych, math, indie, jam band, classic rock/hard rock/heavy metal =that whole hard cheese milieu. it's one of the best of the new year. (man: i'm lucking into good stuff left&right on that review shelf!)
i'm tempted to take it home and get stoned.

RIYL: stereolab, faust, god speed you black emperor, tortise, yo la tengo, cluster/harmonium, et al.

SUGGESTIONS: ANYTRACK=GOODTRACK.
*1. NEXT TO NEXT TO NEXT BEST TRACK: starts out found sound of pedestrians -i'm imagining subway station. beautiful ambient. instrumental.
*2. stereolab&kruatrock. propulsive, w/indecipherable vox.
*3. more toward mogwai's usual sound -kinda crunchy/sabby. merry go round sound. it's very charming (hypnotic).
*4. BEST TRACK: slowly shimmery, it comes in like an invocation. organ. it has the biggesdt sweetness in such an epic way, and so simply.
*5. very epic. hard rock vs. modern rock. (alberta crossy)
*6. NEXT BEST TRACK: beautiful&sad stuff. piano! (i like piano!)
it is so good: i'm eating chocolate&i could die now.
*7. NEXT TO NEXT BEST TRACK: found sound start, lady speaking chinese(?) gets into rocking new wavey poppiness.
vox are indecipherable. yo la tengo=hearing yo la tengo.
*8. mellow gits =let's get relaxy. (it slowly starts rockin'.)
*9. abra...wake up abra...abra....play this track...abra....play...
*10. slowly, subtly, it comes in, then -sudden movie dialogue.
goes into spacey 'lude. goes silent, then...sabscape.
