Cool mellow mopeyness over lush sorta-psychadelic acoustic-guitar-centric compositions. The vocals have a folky sad-sack gruffness and the lyrics a slacker-indie lazy profundity. It has a singer-songwriter intimacy, but it's so much fuller than that. Really great, engulfing songs.
All tracks good but watch FCC on 7. —Andy
*1 - (3:56) rainforest density to the backing; pleasant love tune
**2 - (3:46) quiet start; upbeat sunny driven tune with bright jangle-pop guitar line
**3 - (3:52) 70's psych rock base with electrics and boomy percussion
4 - (5:26) nice lyrics; pretty, unobtrusive backing arrangement gets bigger in last ~1:30
5 - somewhat mystic/synthy dramatic glamness
6 - (4:01) expansive outdoorsy sound with a folky rebel-drawl
*7 FCC "shit" - cleaner guitar and dynamic songwriting
8 - cheery, almost bouncy guitar part contrasts the self-loathing vocals
9 - paced, bright and almost hopeful
**10 - plodding but fairly upbeat, big feel, some hooks in the vocal line, anthemic instrumental departure for a long stretch towards end then down to bare voice and guitar
11 - lo-fi full-bodied guitar sample
