Constant Deviants - Gangster Boogie - Six2Six Records: This track incoporated the same bassline popularized by ‘A Tribe Called Quest’s – Sucka Nigga (1993)’ Original sample is from jazz guitarist ‘Jack Wilkins – Red Clay (1973)’ The filtered sample is the main component and the bassline is as entertaining as it was in 1993 for ATCQ. Lyrically nothing is too groundbreaking although the first couple of bars have some clever drops of Run DMC song names. Overall a solid east coast flavor track. – M-SMOOTH
