PICKS: 1 3 6 10
ATMOSPHERIC JAZZ: A collaboration with sound artist Banabila and jazz musician Mete Erker. Full of ambient layering, jazzy influences, and interesting sound design. All tracks worth playing.
(5:25)–Wave-like shakers¸ atmospheric ambience, with a catchy clarinet tune over it.
(4:22) –Classical string intro breaks down into very laid-back, background jazz.
(3:55) –Upbeat electronic groove with an excellent melody shared by synth and sax. Very diverse, has a SimCity vibe to it.
(8:12) –Mostly electronic ambience, odd noises. Interspersed sax. Machinarium soundtrack.
(4:51) –Marching, relentless electronic beat, sax tries to keep up.
(6:14) –Slow, rich melody, like a very comfy chair. Something to play after a long day.
(4:23) –Sounds like a dirge performed by manipulated vocals, sax, and other electronic oddness.
(6:09) –More ambient soundscapes that eventually find a strong beat. Very “metropolis” feeling.
(6:03) –Minimalist dissonance, sounds like Philip Glass’ work. Very sparse intrumentation.
(1:37) –Hidden track (starts at 1:00) –children’s vocals reprise of first track. Awesome.
