Various Artists: Dirtybird Hatched (Part 1)
Label: Dirtybird Records
SF's very own Dirtybird Records has been a dominant force in dance music out here for a while now with their unique flavor of electro and tech-house. Claude and the boys are at it again, putting out a nice little sampler of bass-driven house & electro. Some nice work, gets a little glitchy here & there, which is reflective of the times. Try #2, 3.
1. Electro-fied vox that's hard to tell it's saying "why do you" - over glitchy house that has slightly progressive overtones.
2. Deep and glitchy, Claude works with Eats Everything on this slightly out-there number that goes all over the place. The best part of the track is a vibraphone tone-y melody that should've been used more.
3. Broken beat electro-house with a gorgeous little string flourish that sounds like a harp, plus an occasional throw of a siren
4. Commandments to get up get up, then sit back down. Kinda got that booty-bass thing going, pretty funk little track
