The Glorious First Of June / An Introduction To The Glorious First Of June / Self / 2012
Not much to say (I’m guessing he’s fairly unknown at this point), except that this guy is very very pleasant. For the quiet nights or early sunrises, has simple chords that hold it together, his soft voice is the main focus. Good for closed eyes. Definitely an intro, might be hearing this guy again soon.
Sounds Like: Daniel Johnston, Elliot Smith
1: “Alarms” - Cute guitars open, sounds beach-like, reminds me of Weekend Wars by MGMT and Daniel Johnston, but more soft. Simple, pleasant.
2: “Citronella Candles” - Prayer like, really dreamy and nice. Underwater peaceful tunes, lulling vocals with simple chords
3:** “Eucalyptus Trees” - Bit more energetic yet still at peace, catchy, sincere, and so pleasant. Elliot Smith sound
4:* “City of Woe” - A beat! Soft almost ukeleled guitar, deeper voice. Some accordion? More consistent, more of a complete song
5: “Tracy And Scott’s Car” (0:25) - Short conclusion to the intro, ends abruptly few seconds early
