Desolate, bedroom “shoegaze.” Goth? Guitar-centric, female vocalist, cough syrup, field recordings, lo-fi, noisy, slow, dark material. Mostly short tracks that can be squeezed into a lot of different sets. I think a lot of the songs are in the same key, it’s kind of weird and soothing. RIYL Jessica Bailiff, Christina Carter, Jason Molina, maybe S, even old Cat Power? FCC on track 4.
*1. Found sounds give way to slow, psychedelic, melodic pound. (2:09)
2. Dramatic vocal shriek, slow uneasiness. (1:56)
3. Dark, bent distortion. Creepy and good. (2:18)
4. multiple FCCs (1:51)
5. Rhythm changes halfway through, vocal acrobatics. (2:49)
*6. Slow, mucky, backwater hypnotic acoustic guitar strum and gentle vocals. (3:25)
7. Sailing and rowing imagery, high vocal pierce. (2:17)
*8. Interesting (poly)rhythm and lots of vocal layers. Strange and warm. (2:04)
9. Slowcore guitar with some nice violin(?) in second half. (3:34)
*10. Distorted vocals, angsty. (2:43)
11. Warm and fuzzy with a mechanical loop. (1:43)
*12. Howling pretty vocals over rumbling and acoustic strum. (2:10)
13. Dreamy and seeps into distance. (4:06)
14. Shimmery bendy keyboard tones. (2:25)
15. Renaissance fair banjo instrumental. (1:58)
16. Relaxing sounds of thunder and field recordings. Ends with child/adult duet of “You Are My Sunshine.” (2:56)
