Artist: Nod Album: O Nod O Moon
Reviewed 5/30'12 by Rex
Genre: Indie Rock, Lo-fi
RIYL: Pavement, Sebadoh, Guided by Voices, Yo La Tengo
In summary: This album is perfect for diehard Pavement fans. With slacker style and raw guitar and bass lines, Nod reminds me of many Pavement styles - rollicking, slacker, zany lyrics, quirky, volatile, laid/back/mellow, playful, Maverick, etc. 90s Lo-fi for the whole album.
FCC clean
*1. (3.08)- mid-tempo, lazy, messy, and freewheeling, droning vocal, scattered guitar sounds
2. (3.22)- slow-tempo, lazy, idle, raw style, sparse guitar sounds
3. (5.15)- changing-tempo, quirky intro, fuzzed out guitar, snarling, playful mood, Sonic-Youth at the end, volatile
4. (5.01)- slow-tempo, childhood memory, gentle vocal, very Pavement-reminiscent, lo-fi guitar solo, good night!
5. (4.36)- slacker style, playful mood, freewheeling, meandering and jangly
*6. (3.02)- cheerful mood, reverbing vocal, sprawling but cute guitar lines, fractured
7. (5.19)- Messy intro, slow-tempo, playful mood, lazy, ramshackle, sloppy
8. (2.14)- lazy, dreamy vocal, yearning guitar lines stand out
