Genre: Folk rock, Experimental, some Jazz influence
Similar artists: Daniel Johnston, Experimental Beatles stuff
This guy is all over the place. Mostly experimental noise rock with some improvisational jazz influence. Strange affected vocals. Second half of the album is way rockier than the first half. Mediocre effort. (Reviewed: 3/20/2013)
* 1. 3:29 – Here's To Ambivalence – Hushed vocals over slow bass and symbols.
2. 4:20 – Toys – affected vocals over light drums and occasional guitar strums.
3. 1:54 – The Nervous Detective… - something out of the Pink Panther.
4. 3:01 – Old March – bad song.
5. 2:37 – Yay – jangly guitars with strange vocals about monkeys.
6. 3:59 – I Forgot – plodding guitars with echoing vocals.
7. 1:50 – What I Caught – I don’t know what is happening here.
8. 2:36 – Alloy – heavy guitars and vocals. Most rock-driven song on the album.
9. 4:24 – Tripping Over Pillows – driving guitar and vocals. Distorted vocals.
10. 2:52 – While We’re Waiting – pure improvisational chaos.
* 11. 3:18 – You're Invited – most interesting vocals on the album with a good guitar line.
12. 3:42 – Light Shoes For Dancing, Etc. – gravely vocals over a nice guitar line.
