Great full-length debut (June 2011) from Monterey’s Gandzjuk (gand-zook). His vocal delivery is on the quieter side, quite effortless, and really catchy. The music is mostly easy-going and mellow, really beautiful. With guitar, bass, percussion, keys, mandolin, pedal steel, some horns, it’s really a mix of folk / country / Americana-type stuff. It’s ethereal, airy and in some places very upbeat. Solid stuff. RIYL: Neil Young, Greg Brown, Jakob Dylan, Jim White, Daniel Lanois. FCC #6 at end, after music.
