60/70's British psychedelic rock in a California lo-fi pop/freak-folk package. Take Guided by Voices, swap out the Who for the Soft Boys, Dayton for San Francisco, beer for weed, and I think you'll have a decent idea what to expect. Second half of the album is generally calmer, cleaner, poppier.
