This solo project from Guanajuato, Mexico claims the label “atmospheric black metal” but it’s heavy on the first part. It’s closer to the narcotic drone bliss of Nadja or Sujo / Olekranon than the wintry grimness of Burzum, etc. The sparse, monotonous drumbeats add to the ambience without providing momentum. If you fall through the ice into a frozen lake, this EP would be a pretty apt soundtrack for your slow, frigid death.
1. (7:18) Icy synth breeze floating mellow and calm, spooky whooshing wind and gradual crawling drumbeat
2. (3:27) Chill ambience for the first half; then nervous, brittle sixteenth notes on the drum machine take things in a dark direction.
3. (3:14) Very quiet resonance for the first minute (almost silence), followed by some lethargic plodding.
4. (4:13) Dreamy washes of synth arpeggios, majestic blizzard ambiance. If Sujo were in the business of lullabies…
