All live hip-hop/jazz band from Chicago, with real drums, bass, trumpet, congas and vibraphone (oh my!). Stuart the MC doesn't impress but thankfully there are instrumental versions of the tracks for the DJ to slip a sultry line or two into the listener's ear. RIYL Jurassic 5, a Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers
FCC Clean!
1. Nice, jazzy groove with the some sweet vibraphone/trumpet interplay. Stuart the MC isn't exceptional but the real star is the great live instrumentation and soulful vibes.
2. Instrumental of Track 1.
3. A sparser, more hip-hop oriented track with the phat drums but keepin' it on that jazzy rhodes/trumpet tip. Excellent bassline as well. Sweet xylophone solo. Nice James Brown guitar on the side. Once again MC Stuart ain't great, but then again, there's always track 4!
4. Instrumental of Track 3.
