Biales (pronounced Be-Alice) has a strong, sweet, sexy and sultry voice and fronts a band playing jazzy, bluesy songs. Half originals, half covers w/ instrumentation of guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, tuba, fiddle, organ, piano. Solid throughout. No FCC’s.
*My Favorites*: All worth a play.
1. (2:32) Mid / Fast. Memphis Minnie song. Upbeat w/ clarinet, fiddle, back vcls.
2. (3:17) Slow / Mid. Title track. Jazzy blues. Organ swirls, great gtr.
3. (3:09) Mid. Fingersnaps, upright bass?, harmonica, dobro, harmonies. Killer.
4. (3:20) Mid. Candye Kane song. Mean blues gtr, solid beat. Upbeat and fun.
5. (3:37) Slow. Down jazzy tune w/ nice vcl, brushes, piano.
6. (3:22) Slow / Mid. Classic Ma Rainey. Bluesy jazz w/ tuba, harmonica, upright bass.
