HELADO NEGRO: “Invisible Life” – Interesting blend of beats of musical feelings, enveloped in an electronic package. Odd-styled vocals. Unusually fun.
Personal Faves: 3, 2, 7, 8, 9, -- Sunshine April 2013
1) Ilumina Vos – Almost like starting your car. Then, progress of the day. Electronically harmonic vocals. Interesting beat. (3:37)
2) Lantamente -- Winding the clock. Cool rhythms. World feel. Almost a “New School” R&B. (6:29)
3) Dance Ghost -- Spooky tales by the campfire, mixed with carnival vibe. Intensity changes into a unique groove of celebration. (4:27)
4) U Heard – Very electronic opening. Vocals join with jungly impact, but slow it down. (5:16)
5) Catastrophe –Lyrics live up to the title, with confusing electronic blippiness. (2:18)
6) Arboles – Sandpaper and Island Beats. Vocals kind of kill it. Voices change dynamics several times. Transcends into tame movie soundtrack. (4:46)
7) Relatives – French-sounding male vocals meld with Euro-Reggae. Good beats in its entirety. (3:49)
8) Junes – Strange rhythms. Almost Electronic Surf feeling. Strange electronic bridge with beats. (6:00)
9) Cuantas – Sounds like a Modern Mass to me. Polyrhythmic beats. A bit tedious. (4:06)
10) Catch That Pain – More chaos. Mish-mash of beats. Psycho-Soul. (2:51)
