Recorded in an isolated house in the Yorkshire Dales, Fain has much more of a
progressive rock feel than anything they’ve released up to this point. Strong intertwining
guitar playing runs throughout.

*= favorite cuts
1 – (4:57) Empty Vessels.* Up-tempo, fine electric guitar work carries the tune.
2 – (4:45) All Returns.* Riffs on traditional English folk melody, searing guitar and
rocking vocals.
3 – (6:30) When The Fire Is Dead In The Grate. Mid-tempo rocker, pretty good, a bit long.
4 – (5:32) Athol.* Mid-tempo love ballad propelled by fantastic drumming and guitar playing.
5 – (6:55) Hesperus.* Celtic sound, droning bagpipes, majestic.
6 – (2:56) Answer.* Mid-tempo, another riff on traditional Celtic sound, very pretty.
7 – (6:54) Thief.* Spare sound, softer ballad, maybe the best track on the album.
8 – (5:14) NRR. Slashing power guitar a la Deep Purple, up-tempo, decent.
