KZSU faves (Brick “Orangeasm”, et al), experimental synth based noise/post rock that incorporates organic traditional instruments (or at least samples) that accidentally stumbles upon prog and post-rock. Plodding if weird, upbeat in places. Mix in Soft Machine, Weather Report with Sujo and the rest of our weirdo noisy friends. All instrumental. Pick any really.
1) (5:39) bursts of synth noise, a loop of sorts, cool subtle melody, then about halfway it turns into a cool plodding looped beat, plodding alon
2) (6:58) kick ass noise intro sounds intense but yields to a pleasant kinda head nodding beat that exemplifies how this band combines organic plus weird electronic
3) (9:45) super skippy type beat, with excellent swirling tones and off time looped melodies, grows in intensity with a prog jazz/post rock sheen for sure, ends in an end-of-the-world epic intensity
4) (6:15) fuck this is good, creepy squashed by compression synth tones with buried vocals coming through, no beat but lots of looped rhythmic quality, builds in an epic way but then fades out
5) (5:43) searing bad assed synth and percussion to start, intense, exploding, then kickes into killer prog rock/jazz with serious drums, airy synth
