Klartraum: Secret Moon Wax Edition Label: Lucidflow
This is a really nice EP featuring the spacey minimal techno track "Kazantrip" and its two solid remixes from David Alvarado & D. Diggler. David Alvarado's remix of "Kazantrip" (#3) is the best version so far, with its addition of a moody synth layer, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the other two versions which are solid. As much as I liked all three versions of "Kazantrip", the jewel in this EP is the remix of "Secret Moon" (#2) by Alexi Delano. That was a real treat; I call it "sci-fi" disco - really catchy and fun!
1. "Kazantrip" (6:50) - Minimalistic techno/tech-house beats with spacey and spooky ambience. Lots of interesting noise textures and the beats are pretty groovy too.
2. "Secret Moon (Alexi Delano Remix)" (6:51) - Sci-fi disco is how I'd call this. Incredibly catchy and infectious groove, with a sweet little synth melody that grabs you. Great remix work by Delano.
3. "Kazantrip (David Alvarado Remix)" (7:50) - LA DJ/producer David Alvarado lends a deft hand at remixing the original - spacey vibe is maintained, the beats are more muscled-up, and moody synth washes provides a psychedelic ambience
4. "Kazantrip (D. Diggler Remix)" (7:19) - A more percussive remix of the original - the spacey ambience is still there but there's more exotic beat textures
