Chris Woodward & Meat - Cock Robin EP
Label: Souvenir Music
Two solid dancefloor bangers from Chris Woodward, collaborating with Meat, and the title track is remixed by Mr. G. The first track is primarily tech-house, whereas the second track adds a ton of acid. Both tracks are good, and as an old acid-house fan, I have to say I liked the 2nd one a bit more.
1. "Cock Robin" (7:29) - Title track of this EP does not disappoint. Hard-pumpin' tech house, simple synth loops and stabs. A solid dancefloor banger. Twisted analog manipulations around 2/3rds of the way through.
2. "Tony's Pipe" (7:18) - I like this track simply because it's acid-house. even though it's more techy than that. The beats are nervous and so is the acid. There's a spoken-word break in between that changes things a bit, but the acid is pretty relentless later on.
