Bailterspace Trinine
Think Dinosaur Jr mashed up with My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth and Spiritualized. Dissonant guitars, bass drums, epic big fuzzy echoey stuff, reverby vocs. In the 90’s this was called dream rock, these days psyche. Very 90’s feel about this New Zealand band (that does go back to that decade). Progenitors of this genre that’s all about the spaced out jam. Instead of 15 minute tracks like Acid Mothers or Carlton Melton they fade them down around 4 minutes. Hmmm.
1) (3:24) dream rock, driving rockin with psychey vocs, fades out
2) (3:35) very Dinosaur Jr. ballad feel
3) (4:00) big fuzzy slower meander
4) (4:06) slight surf swagger to the beat, fades out
5) (4:19) driving, near jam that kinda goes nowhere
6) (4:20) cool deep rocker, Sonic Youth’y
7) (5:19) very Sonic Youth strummy and off key vocs
8) (3:07) triplet type jam
9) (3:52) trippy urgent, cool
10) (0:40) brief trippy
11) (2:25) cool driving, intense, fades out of course
12) (1:39) slower haze, with noisey analog synth tones, like a snippet
