Raw, dense, ritualistic psych-prog rock from Peru. Manifold layers of jamming evoke Carlton Melton, Amon Duul II, 3 Leafs, even Mahavishnu Orchestra with the occasional jazz violin. Organic, spontaneous feeling made possible by lo-fi live recording. This is fucking awesome, guaranteed to make you wish we were in the 70s.
1. (20:22) loud, driving rock kicks off, delves into an extended percussion jam—wow! shit gets pretty wild
2. (4:10) like early live recordings of Pink Floyd or Amon Duul II, free-form guitar noodling with thick percussion and loose jazz sensibilities (see live recordings of “Astronomy Domine”)
3. (5:16) slower, more meditative jamming with densely syncopated drums, crescendos into loud fuzz
4. (15:34) shakers, acoustic folksy strumming, lilting violin jaunts along, gradually building tension until a headnodding tribal groove emerges.
