Gringo Star / Floating Out to See / Self-Released. Gringo Star is an indie rock quartet from Atlanta, Georgia. This is their latest album that they recorded, mixed, and produced themselves. The album has eerie sounds and lyrics intertwined with mellow tunes. Sounds like stoned out garage pop. Muddied vocals. I recommend tracks 2, 5, 6, 10&12. No FCCs,
1. 2:36.“In The Heat.” INSTRUMENTAL. Like waking up in a daze. Mellow and disoriented. Random man speaking inaudibly.
2. *2:45.“Find a Love.” Dysfunctional love song. Guitar solo. Hypnotic vocals.
3. 3:00.“Going Way Out.” Reminiscent of 1960s pop. Slide guitar for days.
4. 3:02.”Want Some Fun.” Bongos beats. Upbeat but Brooding/melancholy. Surf style guitar.
5. *2:51.”Taller.” Upbeat. Traces of traditional garage rock feel. Awesome guitar. Blues-esque.
6. **2:17.“Satisfy My Mind.” Sounds like something from Arctic Monkeys. Awesome drum sounds.
7. 3:07. “Peephole.” Creepy lyrics. Not a very memorable song.
8. 1:15.”Zo Zo.” INSTRUMENTAL. Theme song to drumming your fingers on a table. Dog barks.
9. 3:04.”Lovesick.” Reminiscent of a 1950s ballad. Dazed and melancholy.
10. *3:12.“Look for More.” 1970s feel. Wild west show down song. Great guitar solo. Tick tock sounds.
11. 2:36.“In the Sun.” Surfer rock/western guitar. Trippy at times. Like being stuck in a mirror fun house.
12. *2:46.”100 Miles.” Psychedelic. Surfer vibe-ish. Haunted/spooky sound.
13. 2:59. “The Start.” Upbeat. Typical garage band feel. Danceable.
