slowcore/ambient/dreampop/Catholic-core.
dreamy washes of full orchestration with occasional churchy hymnal/mass vox.
Hammock releases the same album again and again.
tracks are samey. but you won't mind.
this is less 'pop' than last years sprawling 'Departure Songs.' as always, the album is thematically about death, and that which comes with it.
(watch out for slow fade ins and outs.)
=One Of The Best Of 2013.

1. PURR-FECT: sweeping, epic. a short piece.
2. slower, more sad. ethereal. Catholic mass vox kick in. underwater feeling.
3. slow, Lowlike. subtle ghostly vox. ambered.
4. out of the ether, the synths soar....ok, i'm back from peeing and smoking while walking around the quad. it's...epic.
5. dreamy, ambered, floating. underwater.
6. blending out of the previous coma, and into this one. ethereal. (inaudible voices at end)
7. PURR-FECT II (TIE): piano! =I like piano! (and then the orchestra kicks in. sad, melodramatic. the Catholic mass kicks in near end.
8. swelling orchestration. the waves...
9. PURR-FECT II (TIE): heavy, processed synthscape. midpoint: film snippet(?), male voice. sounds like a transmission from spacecraft.
10. slow, glitchosphere begin. into male vox singing 'Tres Domine' '. it's...epic! (goodnight, and take care.)
