Ken Yates / 23 / Mishara Music. Ken Yates is a singer-songwriter with a country and modern pop feel. It may be fair to call him soft country, but his acoustic vibes and intimacy are a closer cousin to musicians like Ben Howard then to say Willie Nelson. His songs are simple and easy to listen to, while at the same time, come off as crafted and sincere. Yate's music may not be innovative or fresh. It is however, pretty good in comparison to the thousands of other musicians in his field. Yates is originally from Canada and professionally trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. 23 was recorded and produced in the Netherlands with a team of Dutch and American musicians.
