More beautiful music from 12k. Warm, organic, masterful creations using acoustic guitar, F vox, clarinet, synth, effects, and the occasional violin. Haunting, ethereal, and all similar buzzwords. Instruments on each track blend together seamlessly into one ambient soundscape (including vox, vocal haters- but 5/9 are instrumental). Serious contender for after the fact entry onto best of 13 lists. (Bonus fun fact- Berg sang on some Jason Molina records.)
RIYL Taylor Deupree, Julianna Barwick, Simon Scott, Hammock, Blurry, Marcus Fischer
*1 (6:21) Gorgeous calming stuff; violin, sparse acoustic guitar and effects, wordless fem vox
2 (6:17) Acoustic guitars, sparse scattered percussion, effects
3 (4:51) A little more static and noise, scraping sounds, feedback, still very pretty
4 (4:43) Detached, fluxing human and instrumental humming and buzzing; ghostly
5 (3:52) Organic electronics, plucked acoustic, a bit of urgency
*6 (5:37) Really lovely, violin prominent, reverbed noises, switches clicking
7 (2:51) Fuzzy tape hiss sound, very sparse, pretty, slow guitar piece
*8 (6:12) Crackling static, clarinet features, slow bliss
9 (6:47) Chiming guitars, touches of sparkling, distortion, and hiss; a bit ominous
*10 (6:10) Swirling guitars, keys, synth wobbles, clarinet, some cooing vox; wow is this one pretty
