CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY
Pleasant sounding singer/songwriter. Maybe call this Alt Country, but it’s awfully mainstream, radio-friendly too. A couple tracks will fit well in KZSU’s country or folk shows. Restrained accompaniment shows off a good singing voice. Mostly guitars, bass, drums (the usual).
No FCC issues.
1 Starts slow, minimal. Picks up pace & adds the band. Catchy but nothing special.
2 * Slow, melancholy love song. Min instrumentation; nice steel guitar. Lovely singing.
3 Slow. A bit broken hearted. Leaves you wanting a bit more. Features bluesy harmonica.
4 Very slow. Very sad. Very minimal. Little bit distressing to listen to.
5 ** Fast, bright, happy love song. This is the track to play. A lot of fun.
6 * Mid-tempo. Very nice singing performance with confident, resolute attitude about life.
7 Sad and broken hearted again. Very quiet instruments.
8 Mid-tempo. Bluesy country-rock. Her singing shows versatility here, but the song isn’t very interesting.
9 Slow. Bluesy again. Pretty good singing. Fuzzy electric guitar solo.
10 * Very slow. Folky. Male harmony voice and a mix of guitar, banjo & fiddle make this one a little different. Like old-time string band music.
