At 81, Willie is in fine voice and his guitar playing is excellent.
Fine, fine album – his best new release in years.
– (2:54) Bring It On* Defiant tune, mid-tempo, excellent.
– (3:55) Guitar In The Corner* Slower, pretty tune, nostalgic.
– (3:29) The Wall* Mid, reflective, regretful & honest, fine.
– (4:13) Whenever You Come Around* Really fine, tender love song.
– (3:01) Wives And Girlfriends* Funny stomp, title says it all.
– (3:01) I Thought I Left You* Poignant breakup song, nice.
– (3:59) Send Me A Picture* Same as above, sad, sad, sad.
– (2:46) Used To Her* Up-tempo cheating/regret/breakup, fine.
– (4:09) The Git Go* Slow, meaningful song about inequality, nice.
– (2:50) Band Of Brothers Anthem for self-direction, decent.
– (3:09) Hard To Be An Outlaw* Dark & moody, and personal.
– (3:15) Crazy Like Me* Song of abandon, mid, rock & roll.
– (3:16) The Songwriters* Traditional country sound, decent.
– (3:22) I’ve Got A Lot of Traveling To Do FCC: “Shit.”
