After taking 14 years to finally deliver a new album, Eyehategod unleashes their Sludgy music upon the world in 11 tracks filled with filthy southern twang.
.(2:23). Punkish opening for this album. Fast, direct and raw. Not as doomy as some people might expect. (2 out of 5).
.(3:02). This is more the band's speed. Slow and painful song filled with punishing riffs and Mike Williams characteristic vocals. (3 out of 5).
.(3:41). Yet another track that starts with some feedback... I wonder if anybody patented this and became rich from it. Nothing special. (1.5 out of 5).
.(3:45). Sludgy, punchy, and catchy.... enough said. For any Doom/Sludge fan that wants an 'upbeat' song in the genre. (3.5 out of 5).
.(3:39). The Post-Metal/POst-hadrcore people will enjoy this. A certain southern flair to it as well. (4 out of 5).
.(3:57). Very typical Eyehategod, with powerful riffs and excellent crunchy distortion. (3.5 out of 5).
.(3:28). Another punk onslaught that transforms into sludge fest halfway through. (4 out of 5).
.(3:38). Called "Robitussing and Rejection".... and for some reason the track has a vibe that sounds like I imagine this combination would feel. (3.5 out of 5)
.(7:10). Spoken word sections / Almost raping.... thrown into a mix of heavy and sloooooooow riffs. Quite odd, but if you are looking for something different, this is the one. (3 out of 5).
.(3:22). Quintessential Sludge track filled with ear-piercing guitars and tight drumming. Introducing newbs to the genre? start with this one. (4.5 out of 5).
11. (5:10). Strong closer with pummeling riffs and Mike's characteristic snarls. (3.5 out of 5).
