Maximo Park's fifth studio album Too Much Information is an easy to listen to British guitar rock album with big focus on the lyrics. RIYL: The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, Klaxons, Yeasayer and The Cribs.
FCC CLEAN!!
Recommended Tracks: 2, 4, 5, 7, 9
1. (3:20) Give, Get, Take - Peppy drum beat, easy to learn melody
2. (3:10) Brain Cells - Plucked out baseline, echoey vocals, electronic sounding drums. Very Yeasayer-esq.
3. (4:01) Leave This Island - Piano, synth, drum machine, prominent lyrics.
4. (3:03) Lydia, The Ink Will Never Dry - Very Smiths-y. Catchy guitar and vocal hooks.
5. (3:43) My Bloody Mind - Heavier instrumentation and a more in your face rock vocal.
6. (3:47) Is It True? - Very 80s feel, mellow yet fast tempo drums.
7. (3:31) Drinking Martinis - Upbeat poppy with a bit of a 60s surf vibe.
8. (2:17) I Recognise The Light - Arctic Monkeys feel instrumentation-wise.
9. (4:06) Midnight On The Hill - Back to a Smiths pop vibe.
10. (2:01) Her Name Was Audre - Up-tempo snare beat, more garage rock feel.
11. (2:45) Where We're Going - Minimal instrumentation, harmonizing vocals.
