Superstar Rajesh Khanna was Bollywood’s first superstar.There were others before him, but no one captured the hearts & minds of young folks like Rajesh Khanna
did. From 1969 to 1980 he delivered a series of “hit” films - that is how successful box office films are described in India.The highlight of his films were the songs that ranged from happy tunes to downright sad tunes that was sure to put you into a pensive
mood.
This collection captures all the whole range of moods from Rajesh Khanna’s films. Most songs were generally sung by his favorite playback singer Kishore Kumar. The tune, rhythm and sounds of these songs are very different from the Bollywood film music folks have come to associate in the 21stc. The songs in this compilation are from a pre-digital age whenhuge orchestras were a big part of a music director’s repertoire.
