In the same vein as bands like Necrogoblikon, Trollfest, Alestorm, etc. Gloominous Doom do not take themselves very seriously and deliver insane music that is both fun and actually pretty good. In this EP the band spews 23 minutes of sickening Death/Thrash Metal with Ska influences, making them one of the most original bands we have reviewed in quite a while. Totally recommended for one of those shows that is filled with random stuff.
1. (2:43) Totally awesome opener with Death Metal riffs, Thrashy bass guitars and... SKA percussions. Super cool. (4 out of 5).
2. (3:18) Catchy Death Metal hooks and fast speed ups. Not as crafty as the opener, but very solid. (3.5 out of 5)
3. (3:54) Leading up with a SKA intro, the band suddenly switches between Thrash-tastic sections and their SKA craziness. (4 out of 5)
4. (3:56) Extra catchy piece that perfectly blends the band's unique influences in a very cohesive and engaging manner. We don't know if to start SKA dancing or headbanging with this one. (4.5 out of 5)
5. (5:57) Hypnotic track that fuses some Psychedelic/Surf/Space Rock into the band's already deranged style. (4.5 out of 5)
6. (3:23) Circus-theme closer that nicely rounds up a killer release. (4 out of 5).
