General Description: The work of arrangers Charles Miller and Wladimir Selinsky. Very non-swing. NOT a jump-up-and-get-going set of songs. They are ALL smooth and reflective in their own way. The entire CD is really once-pop (now usually performed jazzy) songs made into lush, sentimental, romantic Hollywood-like orchestrations that call to mind long dresses and tuxedoes if dancing. Back in the 1930's and 40's pop songs used to be played in all sorts of settings and with various instruments combinations using salon arrangements such as these.
