andenberg's Moonkings - ST
Label: Mascot Records
Featuring ex- Whitesnake guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, this band delivers 13 tracks of catchy Glam Metal/Sleaze Rock with a retro vibe and a modern production. The band sounds like a rehash of old-school Glam/Rock bands, something that is missing from the station's rotation.
FCC Clean:
Play: 5,9,10
1. (3:56) Catchy and direct, not the best, but entertaining track. (3 out of 5)
2. (4:10) Somebody needed solos in this release, and this Jazzy/Proggy piece has them. (4 out of 5).
3. (3:49) Soaring vocals and a certain Country-esque vibe = cool track. (3.5 out of 5)
4. (3:46) Typical power ballad, very well arranged with epic orchestrations. (5 out of 5)
5. (3:12) Catchy tracks like this are 99% attitude and 1% musicianship. (5 out of 5)
6. (4:10) Addictive chorus section, has a certain GnR / Bon Jovi vibe (4 out of 5)
7. (3:40) Another emotional power ballad, very typical of releases from the early 90's. (4 out of 5)
8. (3:16) Nice build up, probably for the older folks. (3 out of 5)
9. (4:21) Poison + M?tley Cr?e + AC/DC = this solid track. (5 out of 5)
10. (4:40) Nice old-school epic song with uber catchy vocals. (5 out 5)
11. (4:25) High-octane track that reminds us of 90's Aerosmith. (5 out of 5)
12. (3:09) Filler track, enjoyable but there are almost 10 better in this release (1 out fo 5)
13. (4:55) Closing Power Ballad, another very solid effort. (4 out of 5)
