Definitely more new wave-y and dancey than the first album. Post-punk roots echoing early Cure and Joy Division reveling in the angst of modern society and trappings of modernity.
1. Angst filled rebellious anthem with jangling guitars and pulsing drums and bass. Urgent, droning, jangling guitars culminating in schizophrenic breakdown "systems are failing and We’re Out of Control”
2. Melancholia juxtaposed by a rather happy bassline and guitar hook, nod towards Modern English. 80s nostalgia a la John Hughes movies with modern twist. Themes of impermanence, longing and futility of love
