Canon, an artist who has so far garnered a lot of attention lately because of his amazing guest vocal appearances on the work of other CHH artists such as Lecrae, Derek Minor, Andy Mineo and many others, impresses with his second full studio release, 'Loose Canon Vol. 2' with banging beats, great production, seemingly endless creativity, a sick flow with good use of his vocal inflections (which are used to make his various points stand out in any given song), and guest appearances that actually add to, and represent the vibes of the songs they're on thus making that particular song as a whole better. Canon, a Mid-West native, brings a vibe to this release that, although clearly a mid-west sound, is all his own. If you like Chicago-style, or Mid-West rap, fast rap, or even that New Orleans sound, you'll dig this one. The listener really has to pay attention to all the musical and production nuances to more fully appreciate what's going on here.
There are no FCC violations. My favorite tracks are: 1, 3, *4, 7, *8

Album reviewed by Daniel of LJH.

*1) 3:11 - Med/fast - Accentuated by a piano hard-hitting drums and array of effects, synths and layered voiceovers, this serves as a great intro for this album.
2) 4:37 - Med - Voices used as part of the music itself, some sort of woodwind that almost mimic sirens and basic drums with chopped and rolling hi-hats this song goes. More of a club type song. Guest appearance by Social Club.
*3) 3:39 - Slow/Med - Horns, synths and layered drums, with panned, heavily truncated snares. Many comedic elements used here making this just a fun song.
*4) 4:12 - Med - Again, layered vocals used as part of the music where the music emphasizes the effects as opposed to the drums which create a musical environment you can feel trapped in.
5) 3:58 - Med/Slow - Heavy synths and effects, modulated drums and layered vocals- maybe 3-4 levels, where the reverb and/or other effects make the vocals on the hook seem almost muffled or distant.
6) 5:05 - Med/Fast - Very southern, New Orleans/Texas south. Heavy drums and rolling snares and hi-hats, strings layered deep within the mix, and modulated piano sounds that almost sound like a xylophone.
*7) 3:46 - Med - Hard hitting drums and rolling piano riffs, horns and other vocal and musical effects that create an almost eerie sound, but resolve well in the music.
*8) 4:11 - Slow/Med/Fast - Club/Dub Step offering, complete with a gang of musical changes and variations. Dope dance track.
9) 6:14 - Med - An extended version of song #2 of this album. Song bangs tho, still. Voices used as part of the music itself, some sort of woodwind that almost mimic sirens and basic drums with chopped and rolling hi-hats this song goes. More of a club type song. Guest appearance by Social Club.
