Delightful Seattle-based acoustic quartet playing a style of Brazilian music called Choro--originally from Rio in early 20th century; I chanced to hear them in a Seattle park a couple of years ago where enthralled listeners were dancing on the grass in front of them; upbeat with echoes of samba, bossa nova, ragtime & klezmer; Favorite Tracks: 2, 5, 6, 7, 8

No FCC's; all instrumental

1—2:53 – “Looney Tune” – alto and soprano flutes lilt the tune alternately faster and slower with guitar

*2—3:30 –lovely, danceable, lively, lush clarinet tune – pandeiro solo in the middle

3—3:09—another lively clarinet tune underpinned with guitar & cavaquinho (ukulele precursor)

4—3:04-- pretty waltz with clarinet tune and guitar underneath; switches to faster 4/4/ in middle part

*5—3:13 – fast happy flute with strings (cavaquinho, bass) underneath

*6—4:01 – “Amphibious” Bossa Nova-sounding, sinuous clarinet and flute with strings underneath; nice mandolin ending

**7—3:49 – very light and dreamily executed vintage South American sound, slower; steel strung cavaquinho takes part of melody; lovely tremolo

**8 –3:55 –starts with flamenco sound with guitar and flute, clarinet and violin, pandeiro; fast

9-- “Spacemen” --happy, fast clarinet with cavaquinho
