Portuguese singer with lovely limpid intelligent tenor voice sings fado, Brazilian style – sad, but playful, light, and rhythmic accompaniment under sometimes ironic sounding lyrics; read the translated lyrics in the accompanying booklet if you have a chance; they're a hoot; kind of an upbeat Jacques Brel for the 21st century
NO FCC's; play any track; they're all great
—2:48-- ironic song about the supposed end of a love affair – but it just keeps moving with ukulele or similar instrument underneath
- 3:28 – “Go Don't Go Waltz” – slow and tender
-4:12 – falling in love with a tram conductor – very continental and ironic – oompa, oompa complete with accordion
—2:02-- excuses for showing up late; nice string playing underneath
–2:41—flirty lyrics; flirty accompaniment
-2:59- “Waltz of a Jealous Peacock” --great horns and strings in the accompaniment
-2:59- song appears to plunge forward like a doomed affair
-2:57- “Scatterbrain” – back-handed marriage proposal – light and ironic complete with harmonic punctuation and whistle
- 2:47- “Don't Forget Me”-more serious; nice vocal tremulo; delicate
-3:28 – “Final Wish” – more tango and intense sounding –the end of the affair, a long fizzle
-2:30- a little bossa nova-ish –no translation available – all Portuguese
-2:29- the charms of many different women, named and compared
- 2:22 – “Psychedelic Waltz” – lights, dreams, goddesses
—2:55 – song in French about Jacques Prevert and autumn leaves
-2:06 --”Living through Hearing” – simple accompaniment; manifesto of a seductive singer
